NEW STUDENT

New students (Year 1) are required to check in to the residential college as stated in the Offer Letter for New Student Admission to UTHM.

No. New students are only offered accommodation and dormitory rooms as determined by the residential college.
However, students with health issues may refer to the college management for appropriate accommodation arrangements.

The UTHM Student Housing Policy states that all new students are required to stay for 1 academic year at the Parit Raja Campus.

Meanwhile, for the Pagoh Campus Residential College, both new and senior students must stay throughout their entire study period.

However, only students with the following statuses are eligible to be considered by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs and Alumni (TNC HEPA) for exemption from staying in the residential college:

  • Case 1: Students who are married and living with their family.
  • Case 2: Students who are local residents and living with their parents within a 30km radius of the university.
  • Case 3: Other than Case 1 and Case 2 (Please specify the reason).

Students are required to fill out the exemption form for mandatory residential college stay as provided in the link.

  • New students who have not yet registered at the residential college must submit a complete application to the Student Housing Center.
  • New students who have already registered must submit a complete application to the Residential College Office.

No. Dorm room assignments are determined by the residential college management.

Permission to transfer to another residential college is subject to the availability of vacancies in that college and is at the discretion and approval of the respective residential college principal.

The following categories of students are NOT ALLOWED to bring motor vehicles:

  1. All new students staying in the residential college, except for new students who are UTHM diploma graduates.

Permission to park vehicles within the residential college area is under the authority of the respective residential college management.
